Celebrating Christmas the Paradise English Boracay Way
Paradise English Boracay is Canadian managed language school on the beautiful island of Boracay. It is a place where you can experience the cultural diversity of the people from all walks of life all over the world. Truly a paradise at its finest!
At Paradise English Boracay, we believe that learning the English language is not just about learning the ins and the outs of grammar. Learning a language is not just by confining yourself within the four, white, thick, concrete walls of the classroom – worst if it has no window/s, but also by experiencing the culture of the language. Language learning through social and cultural integration.
Last week, Paradise English Boracay had its first ever Christmas Prom Night. This event was organized by the staff of Paradise English for students and staff to get together, enjoy, and experience the spirit of Christmas. Students, teachers, support staff, and guests in their gorgeous and heard-turner attire paraded down the torch-lit steps of the campus down to the dining hall where the sumptuous dinner of mixed English and Filipino food met them.
After dinner and after the formalities, everyone was entertained by the different performances from fun games, to Cabana Salsa, to duets, to choral singing, and to the dizzying, funny, crazy, ”idunno” numbers of staff, teachers and students. The fun never ceases.
Not only that, different awards were given to the night’s captivating faces. The Head Turner Awards went to Hannah (from Korea) and Andrei (one of the teachers). The Best Dressed Awards went to Caroline (from Korea) in her sexy golden cocktail dress and to Marlon (one of the native teacher) in his smart looking suit and tie. Couples on their way to a romantic understanding were not spared. A number of couples were nominated, but the tandem of Nick and Jennifer (both from Korea) took the hearts of the crowd. Lastly, at the announcement of the night’s King and Queen, the crowd cheered for and applauded Marlon (one of the native teachers) and Anna (previous student from Italy) as they walk towards the center for their dance.
The night was filled with romance, joyous moments and craziness! The flickering Christmas lights, the balls hanging on the ceiling, the dancing lights illuminating the make shift stage are but witness to this unforgettable experience.
The happy faces, the giggles, the genuine laughter from everyone serve as proofs of this momentous event that surely deserves a page on everybody’s journal. All of these, thanks to Paradise English Boracay!
